Hi, I’m Emma.

I’m a naturopathic doctor passionate about making healthy living accessible at any stage in life. I work with my patients to help them feel good in their bodies.

I grew up with parents who saw acupuncturists, used herbal remedies, and valued food as the ultimate medicine. As I grew older and watched grandparents struggle with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s, I realized that I wanted to take a proactive approach to health - one that offers better quality of life and more personal empowerment. I knew that naturopathic medicine was the key.

My ultimate goal is to help you feel better so that you can live the life you want.

Beyond my formal education, I continue to keep myself updated on current research. I combine best evidence practices with my patients’ individual needs to achieve effective and sustainable treatments. I believe in collaborative health care.

Naturopathic Medicine

At its core, it is individualized care that addresses the underlying cause of disease.

Naturopathic medicine recognizes that there are many contributing factors to overall health - physiological, mental, emotional, spiritual, and environmental. The body has an innate capacity to heal and naturopathic medicine seeks to promote this process. Naturopathic doctors are trained primary care practitioners who take a 360 degree approach to health. We address all the above to help you resolve the root cause of your illness.

Naturopathic medicine is a regulated health profession. In order to be licensed as a naturopathic doctor (ND) in British Columbia, I have completed the following:

  • A university bachelor’s degree that meets pre-medical requirements

  • A full-time 4-year naturopathic medicine degree recognized by the Council of Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME)

    • This includes a 2-year practicum seeing patients in clinics operated by the school, amounting to 1500 hours of clinical training

  • North American Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Exams (NPLEX)

  • British Columbia board exams

For more information, please visit CAND and BCND, the national and provincial associations for naturopathic physicians in Canada.

I am licensed with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC).

My Approach

I believe in integration.
Conventional and naturopathic medicine are both valuable and utilizing them together can often help achieve better results.

My role is that of an educator.
I strive to empower my patients to make informed decisions about their health. I work with patients to create treatment plans that are rooted in best available evidence and take into account individual values, needs, and goals.
